Wow, it feels good to be at this point of the year! Last Thursday, we closed out the wonderful year that 2018 was for the AZRATPack! 2018 was a year that saw a growth in participation in our rides, breakfasts and monthly dinners. This evening was a celebration of the camaraderie, the interesting places we’ve been to, the way we got to those places and recognition for those of us that were dedicated to seeing and traveling to those places.
For the second year in a row, we had our Meatfest & Banquet at the Rodizio Grill in Mesa. Emily, who booked our party was also our waitress for the evening and did an excellent job of keeping things going throughout the night food and drinks-wise. Along with the excellent Brazilian style BBQ meats that we had for dinner, we also gave out the 2018 GO AZ Motorcycles Ride Series Awards. The winners were:
Titanium Award for attending all six rides: Dagame (DJ) Dominguez, Luis Bartolome, Philippe Murat, Rodney Chew and Stephanie Cave
Carbon Fiber Award for attending all three multi-day rides: Jerry Fuentes, John Hilty, Steve Stoops, Victor Castaneda Jr, Allen Kelley Jr, David Stubbs and Melinda Dominguez
Aluminum Award for attending all three single-day rides: Fernando Ramos, Jason Hamilton, Mei Lee Jackson, Mike Akiyoshi and Phillip Jackson
Thanks to special guests in attendance: Brian Ruiterman, GM of GO AZ Motorcycles Scottsdale, Luis Bartolome, Parts Manager of GO AZ Motorcycles Scottsdale, Darlene Fong & Alan Hirst for driving out all the way from Southern California for this dinner!
A special thanks to all of the members that attended this dinner for making it a special night and to everyone that came out for an event in 2018! Now on to 2019!
