Board members, Rodney “El Chino Loco” Chew and Stephen Stoops were there representing the club to receive this prestigious award in person.

The AZRATPack Board of Directors is proud to announce out 2020 Ride Schedule featuring some all new rides, some that have returned to the schedule from the past and some that we’ve already done but with a different twist.
The 2019 Route 66 Tour is fast approaching! This is a great ride to go on if you’ve been pining for going on a multi-day trip but haven’t had the confidence on going on one by yourself. With short riding days and frequent stops, this is the perfect ride to get started on! Also, since we’re never really that far away from civilization, you can always pick something up at the store that you may have forgotten to pack or for a circumstance that you didn’t plan for (cold weather). Heck, we’ll be passing not too far away from one GO AZ’s newest locations in Flagstaff.

Join us for a ride that has been a long standing tradition of our club. Our annual Route 66 Tour will start in Scottsdale then lend you an opportunity to live “Take It Easy” by the Eagles and “Stand on the corner of Winslow, Arizona”. We will then head west on as much of the Mother Road as possible and end the night in historic Williams. The next morning, we will roll through Ash Fork and head into Seligman for breakfast, the town that inspired the original Disney movie, “Cars”. After breakfast we will continue on Route 66 and make stops in Hackberry, Kingman and historic Oatman where Clark Gable and Carol Lombard spent their wedding night. We will then head for Laughlin, NV and the Colorado Belle for a stop for the night. On Sunday morning, we’ll get up early and head to a more modern Route 66 attraction, Topock66 for breakfast. From here, you’re on your own to head back home via the route of your choosing.
I’d like to clear up a little confusion as to how and why to RSVP to any of our events. Here are some guidelines for you:

If you are from California and are considering going on the Alien Encounters Tour, but you don’t want to make the trek to Arizona for the start, we’ve set up a meet point for our California friends!
As previously announced, the time has come to start asking participants in our club to contribute in maintaining the infrastructure of our organization. Though we do seek out sponsors to help pay for targeted aspects of what we do, they do not pay for everything. That burden has fallen on the Board of Directors since forming and on myself previously. For example, GO AZ Motorcycles is currently our Ride Series sponsor and cover all costs related to our rides and ride related awards that we give out at the end of the year, but they do not cover things like the costs related to keeping and maintaining our website.

Though full details are being worked out, Ride Chair, Rodney Chew has announced that the Shady Dell has been named as the official hotel of the SO AZ Tour 2019. We are announcing it now because this hotel sells out well in advance and would like it to be full of people attending our ride. The Shady Dell is a truly unique destination. The Shady Dell Vintage Trailer Court’s long and epic journey began in 1927 as a place to provide trailer and camping spaces to weary travelers along the famous Highway 80, which stretched from Savannah, Georgia to San Diego, California.

We are excited to announce that GO AZ Motorcycles has committed to sponsor the entire 2019 Ride Series. What does this mean? They will continue to publicize our rides to their customers along with hosting the start of each of our six rides this year either at their Scottsdale or Peoria locations, including the new Indian Motorcycles location on Butherus Dr. in Scottsdale, and continue to extend their hospitality to us.
