July General Membership Meeting & Dinner Recap

My intention was to ride the Harley to dinner tonight, but the combination of having to run some errands before dinner plus some dark skies to the south, I ended up in the Ford.

West Alley BBQ is on a side street in the booming Chandler Downtown area. A modern space with a stage for live entertainment is the center point of this two story restaurant. Moving our dinners to the last Tuesday of every month from Thursdays means

I rolled out early to meet Rodney & Dean at Carefree Highway and I-17 and much to my surprise, it was already 92 degrees at 6AM! Don’t get me wrong, but 92 is tolerable, especially with the hazy remnants of last night’s dust storm blocking the sun!

Our first dinner since February of 2020! Finally nice to break bread with everyone! After a busy day and with monsoon type of weather here in Buckeye, I decided at the last minute to forego the ride to Cave Creek on the motorcycle and take the Ford instead.

Getting off to an early start at GO AZ Motorcycles Scottsdale proved to be a good choice as what promised to be a hot ride was fairly comfortable for most of the day. At 7:00AM, the temperatures in Scottsdale were balmy and comfortable and as we climbed in elevation, it continued to be comfortable!

Our second ride of the year pretty much went off without a hitch outside of my GPS warning me of a road closure at Riggs Rd causing us to run an extra 20 miles of I-10. The consolation was that we got to our destination a bit earlier!

Breakfasts & Dinner To Recommence In June!

Under the current local conditions of the COVID-19 and by judging the turnouts of our Roosevelt Lake Ride and Alien Donuts Saturday Social, the Board of Directors of the AZRATPack has decided to start scheduling our monthly breakfast and dinner events in June with some changes.
