November 2nd Sunday Breakfast Recap

Haymaker Restaurant – Litchfield Park, AZ – November 11, 2018

by El Presidente

It started as a chilly morning ride with temperatures in the high 40’s as I left the house.  I had considered taking my Honda since it’s all wired for heated vest and has heated grips.  But it was a short ride to my destination for a change.  I elected to take the Harley and forgo all of the electrically heated luxuries.  This morning’s breakfast was at the Haymaker Restaurant in Litchfield Park.

With the interest in keeping as warm as possible, I headed east on Yuma Rd, then north on Estrella Parkway then back east on McDowell Rd.  Once at Litchfield Rd, I turned left and the restaurant was less than a block on the left.  I managed to avoid I-10 and the cold temperatures of freeway speeds!  The Haymaker is pretty large and easily accommodated our large group in a private room.  I’ll have to say the breakfast was pretty good; a sentiment echoed by a few others!  When it was time to leave, temperatures were about 20 degrees warmer making for a very pleasant ride home for everyone.  Thanks to everyone that came out this morning!  Happy Thanksgiving!
