The 10th GO AZ Motorcycles Sedona Ride Recap

GO AZ Motorcycles Scottsdale

7am, gathering at the shop for todays ride. Just yesterday this part of town was flooded, cars swamped and pushing thru 18 inches of water.  Today, is a sunny morning and we don’t know if it’s going to be clear or a crazy weather day. Its lookin like a great day !! !

The route this year took us up the BeeLine Hwy to Lake Mary Rd, west to 89a south to Sedona. There was little rain and a sunny afternoon once in Sedona. We proceeded south of Sedona to Cornville to the Oak Creek Winery. 89a thru Oak Creek Canyon was very busy.  Weekends thru the canyon can be slooow and hot. This weekend was no exception. Sedona was busy with typical weekend traffic around the towns two major roundabouts. The planned stop was at the Oak Creek Winery just south of Sedona where a selection of food and wine tasting was available. The group stayed at the winery for a little while and then rolled out back to the valley hoping to avoid any afternoon weather.

Thanks to the 26 riders, some coming from Tucson and the two GOAZ employees Brian Ruitermann Service Manager and Big John, Go AZ Sales that decided to join us for the ride.

Looking for a challenging longer ride ? Our next ride in October will be the Alien Invasion Tour. This ride will take you to Trinity, New Mexico, the location of the ignition of the FIRST ATOMIC BOMB. You will get to stand at ground zero, imagine the historical moment it was ignited…. Next, we will travel to Roswell to the Alien UFO Museum in Roswell, NM.  Along the way you will see some other famous places, THE VERY LARGE ARRAY (radio telescopes) looking into deep space). You might even see GodZilla ……

Hope to see you again soon!
