The trip to breakfast started early for me as I felt like I was riding to New Mexico from my West Valley home in Buckeye. The good news was that it was a nice and clear morning with fairly moderate temperatures. Favorable conditions for my 80 mile jaunt to Tortilla Flat!
It had been quite a while since I last made the trip. In the earlier days of the club, we did an annual trip up there on New Year’s Day. Unpredictable weather eventually put a damper on that tradition.
