Our 4th annual holiday get together was a very fun night! The food and atmosphere of the new location in Mesa proved to be a great choice! The night started off with many of our members and guests arriving early to basically take over the bar area while waiting for our 8:00 PM reservation in a private room.
Once the restaurant had all of our tables ready, we all enjoyed a Brazilian steakhouse style dinner. After dessert, we started our program by acknowledging the members of our Board of Directors in attendance along with Alan and Darlene who drove out from California just to attend, Brian & Kathy Norrie from Calgary, AB Canada and Brian Reuitermann, General Manager of GO AZ Motorcycles Scottsdale. We then proceeded to hand out the 2017 GO AZ Motorcycles Ride Series awards. Recipients were:

We then gave out a few recognition awards for members that gave us some unique memories during the course of the year:
- Phillip Jackson – The Brillo Award: For coming up with a creative way of scrubbing bugs off of his front fairing sacrificing his paint in the process.
- Dagame Dominguez – The Alien Fuel Award: For trying to run premix in his Triumph Thunderbird on the Alien Abduction Tour.
- Allen Kelley Jr. – The Getting Passed By A Gold Wing Award: For getting passed on his KTM 1290 Superduke SE leaving Rachel, NV by Phillip on his Gold Wing two up. Sneaky that Phillip!
Congratulations to all of the award winners and thank you for participating and supporting our club this year! A big thank you to GO AZ Motorcycles for fabricating the unique trophies and hosting our rides this year!
