GO AZ Motorcycles, Scottsdale, AZ – November 3, 2018

A nice sized group of riders assembled at GO AZ Motorcycles in Scottsdale for a promising days’s ride up Mt Lemmon. The route took the group out toward Apache Junction then on down towards Oracle and the Tucson area.
After the fuel stop in Tucson, the group was met with a long line to go up the mountain. Apparently there was a marathon which started at the top of the mountain that the date was switched from Friday, the 2nd to Saturday the 3rd at the last minute. Most of our group peeled out of line and found a place to have lunch then head on home. A couple of other small groups waited out the delay and enjoyed a nice ride up Mt Lemmon with a lunch stop at the Iron Door.
Apologies go out to everyone that came out expecting a nice smooth ride up Mt Lemmon as per the norm of our events. This was the first time since I’ve been president (since 2012) that something like this has happened. We hope everyone enjoyed a nice day out on their motorcycle anyway! We hope to see you on our rides coming up in 2019!
