Temperatures are rising and the cool evenings in Cave Creek, AZ., feel mighty nice!!. Twenty Nine folks came out to Stumblina’s Cantina for a great AZRATPack dinner. A variety of Tombstone, AZ themed meals were offered with a wide variety of drinks and beer.

It was a cold morning heading out to Lake Saguaro for the AZRATPack March Breakfast. At Mt Ord the snowflake was blinking on my dash, it was 36 degrees. The BUSH Hiway is always a beautiful ride. With fewer cars on the road it was a great chance to take in the scenery.

Star Date 20210917, 30 of us are at Starbase GO AZ Scottsdale to start the voyage to the secretive Star Base Area 51. This journey entails traveling through a variety of space controlled by many factions and indigenous peoples. Travelers from the Southern California Motorcycle Association (SCMA FACTION) have come to travel with us. We later learned their leader Mark Burdick from the Houston Space port joined us. Thank you for expending your anti-matter to come travel with us.

The September breakfast meetup was held at the Scottsdale Breakfast Club and we had 18+ people join in on the morning. We had more than RSVP’ed forcing some to sit at any open table as this location is typically very busy. Sometimes we sit on the open patio but today was just warm enough to sit inside.

The Southern Arizona Tour (SOAZT) was the second of the six rides of the GO AZ/AZRATPack Riders Series. This years SOAZT took us to Patagonia, Bisbee and Mt Lemmon with one night out on the road. The trip could not have started off any better. The weather was fabulous and enthusiastic group of riders came out for this ride.
The SOAZT is not a new tour to the AZRATPack. Over the years we have been to Bisbee, Tombstone and other Southern Arizona cities and towns for many entertaining rides. Any trip to Bisbee is fabulous, a quirky, fun town of the old west. Built into the side of a mountain in the fashion of San Francisco its a real treasure of time and old west culture. Copper was discovered in these mountains and the one of the largest open pit mines of its time. The COPPER QUEEN MINE was operated from late 1940s to 1974. On the way to Bisbee we will stop in Patagonia (not CHINLE, not enough time for that) for lunch.
Every January, we hold our monthly meeting and dinner at the George & Dragon Pub to commemorate where the club first started meeting. The George & Dragon was actually the place where all of the monthly meetings were held when the club first formed as a Triumph RAT Pack sponsored by the then nearby Phoenix International Motorsports on 7th Ave that now houses The Yard complex of restaurants.
