Under the current local conditions of the COVID-19 and by judging the turnouts of our Roosevelt Lake Ride and Alien Donuts Saturday Social, the Board of Directors of the AZRATPack has decided to start scheduling our monthly breakfast and dinner events in June with some changes.

It’s been over a year since I’ve held a rider’s meeting and it felt extra good welcoming everyone and saying, “We’re Back!”
We are happy to announce that we have renewed our charter with the AMA for 2021. We have had a great relationship with them as a club since 2016. Our relationship with the AMA has been beneficial to us because they offer great rates for liability insurance for our events along with promoting our club nationwide.
While final details are still being worked out, we’d like to announce lodging for the first overnighter of the year.
The first ride of 2020 started on a day that only comes once every four years. Our Leap Year Day Ride would take us to fairly unknown, scenic parts of Arizona’s mining communities.
Our last ride of the year was a return to some of the roots from when we were a Triumph Owners Club. Every year, we would take our “British” bikes (some were built in Indonesia…) over London Bridge in Lake Havasu. Though we switched our focus over the years to being more about riding than what brand of motorcycle you own, we thought it would be fun to visit Lake Havasu and the curiosity of London Bridge.
This year, we took a more traditional route on our Route 66 Tour, going from Scottsdale to Winslow, then west to Williams and ending in Laughlin, NV. We did do a couple of things a little differently though.
The 8th Annual GO AZ Motorcycles Sedona Ride left out of Scottsdale bright and early in the morning. The 55 riders that came out to ride were broken into 4 groups, led by myself, DJ (El Vice Presidente), Todd and Steve (Road Captain). Bringing up the rear was our sweep, El Chino Loco (Rodney).

The 2019 Route 66 Tour is fast approaching! This is a great ride to go on if you’ve been pining for going on a multi-day trip but haven’t had the confidence on going on one by yourself. With short riding days and frequent stops, this is the perfect ride to get started on! Also, since we’re never really that far away from civilization, you can always pick something up at the store that you may have forgotten to pack or for a circumstance that you didn’t plan for (cold weather). Heck, we’ll be passing not too far away from one GO AZ’s newest locations in Flagstaff.

Join us for a ride that has been a long standing tradition of our club. Our annual Route 66 Tour will start in Scottsdale then lend you an opportunity to live “Take It Easy” by the Eagles and “Stand on the corner of Winslow, Arizona”. We will then head west on as much of the Mother Road as possible and end the night in historic Williams. The next morning, we will roll through Ash Fork and head into Seligman for breakfast, the town that inspired the original Disney movie, “Cars”. After breakfast we will continue on Route 66 and make stops in Hackberry, Kingman and historic Oatman where Clark Gable and Carol Lombard spent their wedding night. We will then head for Laughlin, NV and the Colorado Belle for a stop for the night. On Sunday morning, we’ll get up early and head to a more modern Route 66 attraction, Topock66 for breakfast. From here, you’re on your own to head back home via the route of your choosing.
