We had a nice group make early turnout for this breakfast event. About 18 showed up to this outdoor venue on a nice cool morning. Located in the Madison District between Northern Ave and Land Lincoln Ave off the 51 freeway Luci is kind of a neighborhood venue. It would be real easy to miss on 12st so there is a huge address sign on the rd.

We selected the “Original Breakfast House” from the list of places to eat in the greater Phoenix area. As it was my first time there I enjoyed the Hawaiian based theme and the wide selection of Breakfast items to chose from for everyone.

I probably ate more pork last night than most people eat in a month! Over the years, I’ve picked Cuban Foods Bakery & Restaurant for our April dinner because of the close proximity to my birthday and I choose to quietly celebrate by gorging myself with delicious food from my family’s home country. This is the most authentic tasting Cuban restaurant that I’ve found in the Phoenix area that is still open. Havana Café in Scottsdale was a favorite until they shut down.

As I rolled out of the garage this morning I could feel the spring temperatures upon us as the seat & grip warmers were set on low for the ride to breakfast. This location was selected as the thought was that it might be centrally located for the majority of the AZRATPack and came recommended by the wife.

We have a tradition of every January we hold our dinner at the George & Dragon Pub on Central Ave in Phoenix. In the club’s early days George & Dragon used to host our monthly meetings being that we were a Triumph Owner’s Club along with the convenience of being a short trip from our original dealer sponsor, Phoenix International Motorsports located on 7th St.

I had all the intentions of riding to breakfast this morning, just before I was to leave I took the dogs to the back yard for a quick stretch, that was when I noticed the frost on the grass. I knew the streets were safe to ride. I just did not want to start looking for the additional layer and winter gloves needed to make the trek. So off I went on my 4 wheel beast.

Los Taquitos in Ahwatukee is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants with killer carne asada! I discovered this place a few years ago on an episode of Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive Inns and Dives. Rarely do any of the restaurants featured on this show fail to meet expectations!
